Please don't ask me for my system configuration or anything along those lines. Not change the user experience without the user requesting a change. If I am actually having one of the above problems, I want Windows to lag or crash or whatever it might do rather than change my color scheme. I want to know how to disable this behavior.
The possible causes are irrelevant anyway. I have 2 video cards and they are identical i.e., they are the exact same make and model and manufacturer. My drivers are up to date and I am not mixing video card drivers. This happens on a variety of graphical programs, so it is not a buggy program. I have plenty of system resources, so it's not a resource issue. I am not asking for an analysis of what might be causing this to happen. How do I prevent Windows 7 from automatically switching to the basic color scheme?
